 Nick Holdstock

His first novel, The Casualties, was released via St Martins Press in the US in August 2015. 

He has written two non fiction books – China’s Forgotten People, which looks at the issues behind the violence in Xinjiang, in western China. The Tree That Bleeds, my first book on this subject, appeared in 2011 from Luath Press.

His articles, reviews and essays have appeared in the London Review of BooksThe Independent, N+1, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Dissent, VICE, Salon.com, Literary Review and The Dublin Review.

His fiction has appeared in publications like The Southern ReviewStand,Northwords Now and The Manchester Review.

In 2012 he received a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship.

In 2014 he won the Willesden Herald Short Story Competition.
