1st Friday Art Opening: Jezra Thompson with live music from Horrible/Adorable & Scrim! 6pm

I started making art before I was making much sense. Beginning as a fine artist, an amature graffiti artist, a figure drawer, an architect then urban planner; now I make collages, separately, together, and in a state of almost together. I cut up cutouts of landscapes, oceans, skies and dirt. I piece them together to make new landscapes.

Jezra Thompson is an Oakland collage artist that pieces together different landscapes; big skies, small moons, wide angles, and expansive spaces. Parts and pieces come together to form new wholes, or almost wholes. It's a perfect backdrop for soundscapes that'll remind you of wanderlust and otherworlds. Check out her landscapes and soundscapes out from 6-7. Stay for garage rock and cute punk rock at 7:30.

Horrible/Adorable is a "Creamsoda Dreamsicle Poprockz" duo from Oakland, CA who likes to rock out and sparkle.

$5 after 7 pm. All ages.
