Sara McAulay grew up in Virginia but has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of her adult life. She is the author of three novels and numerous works of short fiction and nonfiction. Her work has appeared in Arroyo Literary Review, Black Warrior Review, California Quarterly, The Literary Review, Lodestar Quarterly, North American Review, riverbabble, Third Coast and ZYZZYVA, among others.
Sandra Wassilie moved to Oakland from Seward Alaska ten years ago. She has served as poetry editor for Fourteen Hills and cofounded Bay Area Generations Reading Series. Her most recent poetry has appeared in Cirque, The Naked Bulb Anthology 2016, and Oakland Review. She has produced one chapbook Smoke Lifts, and last month, completed the first draft of a novel.
Susan Cohen is the author of two chapbooks and two full-length book of poems: Throat Singing, and A Different Wakeful Animal, which received the 2015 Meadowhawk Prize from Red Dragonfly Press. Her work has appeared widely in journals and anthologies, including Nimrod, Los Angeles Review, Poet Lore, Salamander, Southern Poetry Review, Verse Daily, and theBloomsbury Anthology of Contemporary Jewish American Poetry. Winner of the Rita Dove Poetry Award, Milton Kessler Poetry Prize, and Literal Latte Poetry Prize, among others, she lives in Berkeley where she was a journalist before earning an MFA from Pacific University.
Lenore Weiss, an award-winning writer, grew up in New York City with whistle stops along the way in Chicago, Illinois, and Sterlington, Louisiana. She makes her home in Oakland, CA. Lenore Weiss has blogged for the Jewish Book Council, and taught creative writing classes through San Francisco State University and Kehilla Community Synagogue.
