Private Events


We have a variety of party and private event options at The Octopus Literary Salon, including live performance. Located in Uptown

Oakland, on Webster Street (at 22nd), an easy walk from the 19th Street BART station.  Check out our private party menu (below) for all of the details. 

Our chef, Ian Patton, caters in-house and we accomodate up to 50 guests.

We feature four local beers on draft and a thoughtful selection of amazing wines for the value.

We specialize in making your party intimate, memorable and unfussy.  We make our own ice cream and our punk rock bakers are the best in the land. Check out this strawberry cake with edible flowers!

We are ADA accessible and always all ages.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in a catered private party! Let’s confer about your culinary dreams.  Below are popular favorites for private parties.  We’re also available to meet/call about additional possibilities and themes. 

 

RENTAL FEES

$150/hour during non-peak hours

$250/hour from 11:3a0-2:30p on weekdays and 7:00p-10:00p on weekends (Friday-Sunday)

 

CANCELLATION POLICY 

The deposit for private parties is due upon receipt of the estimate.  It is equal to the space rental fee and reserves the time and date.  In the event of a cancellation, 50% of the deposit is refundable up to one week prior to the party.  The deposit is non-refundable if a cancellation occurs the week of the party date/time.
